Annual Membership Drive - 2021/2022

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

2020 and 2021 more than any other years have shown us just how important “home” is.  While we haven’t all been able to get together like we used to, we’ve come to figure out new ways to remain connected: stopping more to talk in the street, saying Good Morning to your neighbor when you see him getting in his car, and creating text groups with those closest to us.

During this difficult year, the Vista Las Palmas Neighborhood Organization (VLPNO) has continued to work.  The Board has been meeting every month (virtually) in order to find ways to both maintain our quality of life here in our neighborhood while also raising awareness about the architectural heritage of Vista Las Palmas.

This year we are doing our membership drive in anticipation of the Annual Meeting.  Anyone who lives in our neighborhood, or who owns a property here, is eligible for a voting membership.  Membership in our group is free to those eligible, with tiered suggested giving levels starting at just $50 per year.  Membership entitles you to vote on matters affecting our neighborhood at our annual meeting.  

Membership is for one year and is renewed each subsequent year by simply visiting our website at vistalaspalmas.org and clicking on the “Join” button.  If you prefer to write a check, please download and fill out the ’Membership Form’ at the bottom of the ‘Join VLPNO Now’ page then mail your donation check and completed membership form to the address noted on the form. 

In 2020, funds raised were used to donate to The Palm Springs Animal Shelter, PS Modcom, and The Food Bank at The Center.  We look forward to continuing our charitable activities in 2022 with the reintroduction of our major fundraising event: the Vista Las Palmas Home Tour as part of Modernism 2022.  Every dollar of every donation goes either to charity, to efforts to improve and maintain our neighborhood, or to our social events that further our sense of community.
