Many homes are iconic examples of Mid-Century architecture designed by world-renowned architects of the era. Carefully planned additions often preserve and complement the integrity of the original architecture.
With the arrival of residential air-conditioning, Hollywood celebrities were among the first to discover Vista Las Palmas in the 1950s. Palm Springs offered an escape that was still close enough for performers and executives to return quickly to their studios when called.
The homes featured cutting-edge layouts and materials, including glass, concrete, terrazzo, and exposed wood beams. These elements helped define the Southern California Modernist style.
