All are welcome. It’s a great way to stay informed about “all things VLPNO.” This is your neighborhood. Please reach out and share within the community, especially with new residents to make sure that they’re aware of our organization and our annual meeting. The more people who get involved, the better it is for all of us.
Given the resounding success of last two year’s on-line broadcast, once again we are hosting our Annual General Membership meeting (AGMM) virtually. We have moved the regularly scheduled AGMM to the first Sunday in December.

The Vista Las Palmas Modernism Week home tour is scheduled for Saturday February 19, 2022. This year's theme for the tour is “From Vista Las Palmas with Love” highlighting the warm and stylish nature of our neighborhood.
This year's six homes have been expertly curated to showcase the amazing modernist style that is found in our neighborhood. Tickets for the tour are almost sold out! Only a few tickets remain, You can find the tour website here:
Vista Las Palmas Modernism Week Tour Tickets
We are looking for volunteers for the day of the event, Saturday February 19th to work the check-in area as well as to serve as docents at six fantastic homes. We need two shifts of volunteers as there are morning tours from 10a - 1p and afternoon tours from 1p - 4pm. Choose to volunteer and you won't be disappointed: volunteers from previous years report having lots of fun, meeting great neighbors, and getting to experience some amazing architecture from an insiders perspective.
As a thank you, all volunteers will receive tickets to the tour so they can visit all the homes and they'll be invited to an after party at the fabulous home of Richard Nielsen and Bruce Frasier. Additionally, a week prior to the event on Saturday February 12, we will host a training lunch for homeowners and docents at the home of Steve Orr and Malcolm McKay.

Modernism Week is (almost) upon us, and our Vista Las Palmas neighborhood is hosting the 2019 Modernism Week House Tour. Thank you, in advance, to all the docents who are volunteering & all the homeowners who are opening up their homes!!! It clearly takes a neighborhood.
Most all details are in place, and we’re excitedly (almost!) ready. There are still some tour tickets left, & spread that word...as that might change when Modernism Week folks from around the globe arrive into town this week.
But first, a quick call for a few additional volunteers—-
Please invite friends & family to volunteer & we’ll grant them tour entries! (A quick response, please, as there are a limited number of volunteer slots open.)
And remember: Sunday, February 24th. Dress in your vintage Mid-Century best! Wheel out your vintage cars! Set up Instagram moments on your front lawns! And welcome the world into our fabulous neighborhood!

Attention ALL Vista Las Palmas Neighbors!
Let your vintage flag fly! And Save the Date! Our neighborhood is hosting the VLPNO Modernism Week 2019 House Tour on Sunday, February 24th, and it'll be a whole neighborhood event with two tours --- one in the morning, the other early afternoon.
Dress in your vintage Mid-Century best that day! Pull out all your vintage cars...’cause we know they’re hiding!!!! Set up Instagram moments throughout the ‘hood & welcome the world into our fabulous neighborhood.
As they say, it takes a village. And though we already have many who have come forth to volunteer for the tour, but we want YOU to volunteer, too. So who else wants to actively volunteer on the day of the event? We need volunteers at the event check-in station and as docents in fantastic homes. And this year is extra special, as we’re celebrating our 60th Birthday of the neighborhood —- complete with a toast of something bubbly to punctuate the occasion at the end of the experience.
Choose to volunteer, and you won't be disappointed. You'll meet great neighbors. You'll have fun. You'll experience great architecture. You'll gain even more pride about our neighborhood (Or is that even possible, right?). And of course, most of all, you'll be supporting our neighborhood organization, so that in the future we can bring you more fun, frolic, education, safety and community.
Last, but certainly not least, the Tour Organizing Committee will thank each an every volunteer with a Thank YOU Birthday Party Bash. So please come join us.
