Kevin spoke to Kathy Cintas, Tax Preparer at Barton CPA. It appears that the VLPNO has never filed State of California exemption applications. She confirmed that there will be penalties and Barton CPA costs to file these with the state of California retroactively.
Board agreed that this must be disclosed to any candidates who come forth for the November VLPNO Board Election at the AGMM.
Kevin inquired about the year that the VLPNO was formed. Kermit stated that from the records that he’s organized, we show the VLPNO was incorporated in November 1st, 2005.
Kevin is awaiting a formal quote from Barton CPA on the work before approving them to proceed with work. Kathy stated she had to defer to Chauncy Thompson, Firm Manager.
We still need another two (2) signers: The Board agreed that this will be Scott Turner, VLPNO Board Chairperson & Kermit Ferrer, VLPNO Board Secretary. This will be set-up once regulations permit for us to go to the bank to complete the signature paperwork and Kevin returns to PS.

Kermit & Scott to meet Mr Montalvo to do the walkthrough of the worse streets demonstrating signs of failure (all cul-de-sacs) and comp cul-de-sac examples repaved at the same time that remain in good condition.
Below are the streets the Board agreed during the June 2020 Board meeting for ranking based on conditions.Streets in priority order:
1. N Fairview
2. Topaz
3. Coronet
4. N Fair Circle
5. Tuxedo
Paseo Dero and Via Paraiso cul-de-sac streets are immaculate and that we thought would be a good comparison to the condition our streets should be in.
AGAVE:
Update on The Agave Project: Kevin mentioned that Sydney Weissman, Community of PS Liaison, for 'The WHCHC’s (West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation) Agave’ project contacted him asking Kevin to write a letter showing our support of the project. Kevin declined as he needed input from the VLPNO neighbors. Kevin suggested that she follow-up on scheduling further community presentations of the project that they talked about and promised during their initial call with us. He said that he would assist in broadcasting the invite to the VLP neighbors. The Board supports Kevin’s approach and agreed that we would definitely need input from VLP neighbors as well as surrounding communities: OLP, Little Tuscany, Movie Colony.
NOTE: The Agave project is a new development planned at the corner of Palm Canyon and Stevens. Alternately described as low-income housing, homeless housing, affordable senior housing, transient housing.
